FWM revamp FWA digital presence

Fast Web Media has helped the Football Writers’ Association improve its online presence and reach out to new users and members by revamping the organisation’s digital strategy.

FWM and the FWA have enjoyed a fruitful digital partnership over the last ten years, and FWM was tasked with creating a new digital strategy that would help the Association connect with football fans across the country.

Liasing with FWA chairman Steve Bates, we devised a new website that would offer a platform to promote FWA events and information. The site is fully social, incorporating the FWA’s new Twitter feed, Facebook page and YouTube channel.

We have also created a new LinkedIn page to offer an area for members to interact in a more formal environment.

“As an organisation we are always striving to improve the service we offer to our members as well as promoting the FWA as one of the key bodies within football,” said FWA Chairman Steve Bates.

“To that end, we are all delighted with the new look website at the FWA and believe it offers us the chance to reach our members – and those interested in learning more about us – quickly and efficiently.

“And with the addition of social networking links like Twitter and Facebook the website allows us to reach even more people than previously, Fast Web Media have done a great job for us once again.”

Fast Web Media CEO Mike Flynn added: “Fast Web Media is proud to count the Football Writers’ Association among our partners. We have enjoyed a great working relationship with the FWA over the last decade and are looking to continue it for many years to come.

“The new site delivers a wide range of new functionality and opens up new doors for the FWA. We will be helping the FWA make the most out of their new site and social platforms.”

Established in 1947, the Football Writers’ Association currently has 400 members across the country and hosts a series of major awards ceremonies throughout the year, including the Football Writers’ Association’s Footballer of the Year.
