Fast Web Media has developed a new suite of websites for the international Leaders Sports Summit.
Bringing together some of the global sports industry’s most influential figures and decision makers, Leaders incorporates specific conferences for the business of football, sports performance, sports sponsorship, horse racing, and digital sport.
Their aim is to provide a platform for the senior executives within sport to discuss the key challenges and issues within their respective areas, whilst creating an unrivalled networking environment for business, knowledge share and best practice.
Fast Web Media’s technical and search marketing experts colluded to create the sites based on designs provided by The Forest.
The websites were built on heavily customised WordPress installations, allowing Leaders to manage the suite of sites from one central administration. Leaders TV was also integrated across the sites, as was the influential sports publication ‘The Leader’.
As part of our search engine optimisation tasks, FWM performed a comprehensive SEO audit on all Leaders sites and advised on how to bring the platforms in line with industry best practices. Among the recommendations were thorough re-writes of title and meta tags, optimisation of all multimedia content and the implementation of XML news sitemaps to ensure articles are featured on Google News.
