FWM Go Dutch For Furniture Store

Fast Web Media has designed and built a Dutch language e-commerce platform for Netherlands-based furniture retailer Goossens.

The project was initially set up to help Goossens establish themselves in the digital sphere and test the ongoing viability of an online presence.

After a successful trial period, during which limited stock was sold online, Goossens enlisted Fast Web Media to expand the offering, and currently most of the company’s furniture catalogue is available for purchase on their website.

To cope with product demand, Fast Web Media successfully linked up Goossens’ bespoke management system with the Magento stock management system, meaning the site can be managed easily by both FWM and Goossens.

We have also lent our search engine optimisation expertise to the project, undertaking a comprehensive on-site optimisation strategy to bring the site in line with SEO best practice.

Along with the Goossens brand in Holland, the company also runs a Belgian furniture store called BeterMeubel, the website for which Fast Web Media has also developed.

A further two vacancy websites have also been developed, one in Dutch and one in Belgian, to help the Goosens and BeterMeubel brands grow in both countries.

We also employed linkbuilding activities and a highly-targeted PPC and local search campaign to increase Goossens’ visibility among their core demographic: adults based in the Netherlands.

After expanding into continental Europe, Fast Web Media has several clients in the Netherlands and Greece.

Among our Greek clients are organic food brand Minerva Horio, while Oostappen and Parfum.nl join Goosens on our Dutch roster.
