Fast Web Media’s Director of Search, Tom Smith, was in attendance at the Search Awards Conference on Friday 9th March and gave a popular talk on our use of Search and our new weatherFIT PPC technology.
Fast Web Media was one of the big winners at the UK Search Awards last November, picking up the Grand Prix, Best Agency, Best Integrated Campaign and Best Use of Search (Retail) prizes, and Tom was invited to Friday’s event to discuss our work.
Using our client Bravissimo as a case study, Tom explained how we implemented Search to increase traffic and generate more revenue for the women’s retailer. Our work for Bravissimo won us the Best Use of Search (Retail) award.
Tom also discussed our new weatherFIT PPC software, which allows targeted marketing of consumers based on real-time and forecast weather in their area. This is especially useful for clothing retailers, whose products vary in desirability at different times of the year.
Tom was also invited to participate in a panel about Holistic Search, which aims to bring a range of digital disciplines (search, tech development, social) together to form a complete whole where each element feeds into the others.
Both the talk and the panel went down well, with weatherFIT receiving plenty of praise in the conference room and on Twitter.
