Fast Web Media
Greece Netherlands
What was needed
  • O2 wanted their involvement with grassroots rugby to be strengthened
  • We had to provide a platform for clubs and players to communicate with each other
  • The site also had to act as a valuable tool that would enable clubs to save time and money
What we did
  • We designed and built a social network for rugby clubs at all levels
  • The site is full of interesting media and competitions to retain member's interest – one club has won the right to train with the England team
  • Club administrators can pick the team online, check player availability and get messages to players quickly and efficiently
What happened
  • Over 100 clubs signed up within the first two weeks of the site's launch in March 2009
  • Further functionality, including free SMS messaging between coaches and players, is due for the next phase of development
  • Already clubs have begun recruiting players via the website, from the UK and overseas
